Paperjam, Luxembourg's leading business and finance publication, has reported on the opening of Leroy & Goldbach — a law firm dedicated to investment funds and asset management, founded by two Managing Partners who built their careers at leading international firms.
The article notes that the firm, active since the beginning of the year, formally announced its opening on 17 September, and that alongside Luxembourg it has offices in Zürich and Hamburg and a permanent representation in London.
Virginie Leroy previously practised at Goodwin Procter and Arendt & Medernach; Lissie Goldbach at Allen & Overy, Baker & McKenzie and Pinsent Masons. Over the course of their careers, the two founding partners have taken part in the creation of more than 100 funds, structured over 70 co-investments and advised more than 95 fund managers and 35 family offices across more than 35 countries.
Paperjam highlights two elements of the firm's model:
- Fixed fees from the outset of every mandate, with quotes issued within 24 hours.
- Productivity gains passed on to clients — the firm shares the efficiencies made possible by legal technology and artificial intelligence, notably through the Harvey platform.
«From the formation of a fund through to every service that accompanies it, cost should be predictable from end to end — and legal fees are no exception,» says Managing Partner Lissie Goldbach in the article.
The firm advises on the structuring, launch and distribution of Luxembourg funds, as well as on the transactions, financing, tax, regulatory and litigation matters that arise around these vehicles.
Our thanks to Paperjam and journalist Ioanna Schimizzi for the coverage.
